Robert L. Burns, President / Preconstruction

Robert L. Burns is a Florida State Certified General Contractor. Bob has a background in Construction Management and attended the Philadelphia College of Art where he majored in Furniture Design and minored in Structures and Construction. Complemented by a range of experience within the Construction Industry, Bob’s expertise includes but is not limited to: general construction, estimating and CPM scheduling. As a continuing Vertical Contractor, Bob has an upstanding relationship with the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and the Orange County Public Schools. Bob performs his many functions and responsibilities in consonance with the company’s values which he established. In addition, by relocating the corporate office to the downtown Orlando district, he has a vested interest in the ongoing Parramore Revitalization Effort by the City of Orlando.

April Dixon, Pre-Construction Manager / Estimator

April Dixon has a background in Architecture and attended the University of Florida where she earned her B.A. in Design and Architecture. April works in concert with Bob on preconstruction phasing and maintains cost control through the construction phase to ensure that each project stays on budget. She operates as the preconstruction manager and cost manager and assists the Project Manager and Project Team in estimating, bidding, and buyout of the project. She is also responsible for overall product review, and value engineering, document control, construction review, site visits, progress reporting, constructability, and design-build coordination.

Jessica Burns, Business Development Manager

Jessica Burns is the point of contact for all new and existing business development initiatives for R L Burns Inc. including new business opportunities in the Central Florida area. She has a background in Communications and attended the University of South Florida where she earned her B.A. in Marketing Communications. In addition to business development, she also oversees the creation of all marketing materials, and human resource initiatives. Jessica works closely with our office personnel and provides additional support where needed.
