ABOUT THE PROJECT

The upgrades in this five-story education building began with the demolition and removal of existing cooling towers as well as pumps and air handling units. The HVAC system was upgraded with two 185 ton chillers, air cooling towers, chilled water pumps, 16 air handling units, and an automated building control system. In addition, 145 VAV units with electric heat coils and the existing air duct were modified. Upgrades to the existing electrical system were performed to support the new HVAC. Additional work includes improvements to the fire alarm and intercom system.
